Responsibilities
Leads Boeing Global Service (BGS) Safety program.
Leads a global team to identify, elevate and mitigate risks that could result in injuries, or risks to environment or regulatory compliance.
Operationalizes the business strategy to support, promote, and enact improvements to all BGS sites and locations where BGS has employees.
Champions a Safety Culture where hazards are identified and mitigated routinely; that ensures compliance with standards and best practices, reduces risk normalization, delivers a healthy and continuously improving management system to proactively ensure accountability for safe behaviors.
Leads and recommends actions to continue to improve performance in risk reduction that leads to an overall reduction in recordable rate performance and improved environmental reporting and control.
Delivers standardization and simplification of policy compliance, adapted to the location, statement of work and rules/regulations/customers and culture thereof.
Integrates risk identification and mitigation where appropriate with our Safety and Quality management systems.
Collaborate across the Enterprise and with external stakeholders to share best practices, learn from each other and improve aviation workplace safety.
Requirements
7+ years of senior/executive level management experience
Exposure to Environmental, Health and Safety experience
Breadth and depth of industry knowledge; experience leading across large geographically dispersed organizations with a Safety, Quality and Integrity mindset
A dynamic and influential leader and a skilled relationship manager
Requires the capability to establish credibility and to influence and persuade others
Strategic decision making
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have ability to perform robust Root Cause Corrective Actions and sustained corrective and preventive actions while driving innovation and growth.
