About the role

  • Working student supporting the operationalization of data strategy and AI at BMW Group. Involves collaboration on data quality, readiness for AI agents, and process workflows.

Responsibilities

  • You will support the operationalization of the company-wide data strategy, with a focus on data quality, data readiness for AI agents, and data and knowledge ontologies in the context of agentic AI.
  • You will also contribute to the development, enhancement and documentation of data and AI agents — from structured data preparation to integration into process-oriented workflows with human-in-the-loop governance.
  • In addition, you will analyze, structure and visualize complex data and process relationships to make decision and control logics for agents transparent and easy to understand.
  • You will help create concepts, templates and guidelines around data, processes and agentic AI, such as readiness models and best practices.
  • Furthermore, you will support close collaboration with project leads, business units and IT teams and gain deep insights into strategic transformation initiatives at BMW Group.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics, Data Science or a comparable field with a focus on data or AI.
  • Interest in linking data, processes and AI; ideally initial exposure to data modeling, data quality, knowledge representation or process analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics and AI usage, and confident proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Curiosity about agentic AI concepts, data agents and AI-supported workflows; initial experience with automation or orchestration tools such as n8n is an advantage but not required.
  • Analytical thinking, a structured working style and motivation to delve into complex, strategic issues.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment in preparing complex topics clearly—for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
