About the role

  • Director guiding analytical assessments of international pharmaceutical policies at Bristol Myers Squibb. Collaborating with teams to translate complex policy into decision-ready insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analytical assessments of international pharmaceutical policy reforms across priority ex U.S. markets, including pricing, reimbursement, access, HTA, and ‑trade related‑ policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and apply analytical frameworks and models to assess the portfolio and enterprise impact of international government pricing and reimbursement policies.
  • Monitor and interpret international statutes, regulations, policy guidance, and HTA processes, translating complex and market specific‑ policy developments into actionable insights.
  • Support policy research evidence generation by producing robust analyses that inform international policy positions, evidence packages, and advocacy narratives.
  • Partner with the international policy team to provide analytics that support external policy engagement with governments, regulators, HTA bodies, and other policy stakeholders.
  • Assess cross market‑ and spillover effects of international policy reforms (e.g., reference pricing, trade dynamics, global affordability initiatives) and their implications for enterprise strategy.
  • Prepare clear, executive ready‑ presentations and written materials that communicate analytical findings, uncertainties, and strategic tradeoffs to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally ‑with Global Health Systems Analytics, Global Pricing, Global Market Access (MAx), Regional Market Access teams, Legal, HEOR, Finance, and Business Insights & Technology (BIT).
  • Track emerging international policy trends and identify potential risks and opportunities, escalating insights and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Leverage digital tools and AI e‑nabled analytics to enhance analytical rigor, efficiency, and scalability across international policy assessments.
  • Provide guidance, prioritization, and quality oversight for international policy analytics deliverables.
  • Mentor and develop team members and contribute to broader Global Policy Analytics capability‑building.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MPH, MPP, MBA, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent).
  • 7–10+ years of experience in international health policy, pricing, reimbursement, HTA, or policy analytics.
  • Strong understanding of international pharmaceutical policy frameworks, including government pricing, reimbursement systems, HTA processes, and access policies.
  • Experience analyzing cross‑market policy dynamics and understanding how international reforms impact global portfolio strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex, heterogeneous policy environments into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience supporting executive‑level discussions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast‑moving international policy environments.
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, matrixed organizations.
  • Interest in developing leadership and mentoring skills, with potential to grow into broader workstream or people leadership roles over time.
  • Familiarity with and willingness to engage with digital or AI enabled analytics tools.
