About the role

  • Construction Project Manager 2 managing capital projects for the Oregon Department of Corrections. Leading contract administration, project coordination, and communication with professionals across multiple construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead contact for construction contract administration and communication.
  • Manage emergency and short-duration maintenance or improvement projects from planning through completion.
  • Review designs and specifications for compliance with DOC standards and building codes.
  • Coordinate with DOC Procurement to develop and monitor public works contracts and bid processes.
  • Draft and manage RFPs, RFQs, and consultant/contractor selection processes.
  • Monitor warranty periods and ensure compliance with all construction-related warranties.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Architecture, Planning or Engineering; AND three years of progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept; OR
  • An Associate Degree (or comparable course work) in Architectural, Construction or Engineering Technology; and four and one-half years of progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept; OR
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience related to the class series concept.
