About the role
- Strategic Purchaser responsible for developing procurement strategies and managing supplier relationships at BERNER Group. Collaborating on purchasing projects across various departments and ensuring cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of an international procurement strategy, taking into account corporate and departmental requirements for product and commodity groups of direct materials
- Analysis of product and commodity groups, including the development of objectives and measures for the responsible area
- Procurement market research and market risk management
- Supplier management (selection, evaluation, development, monitoring)
- Price and contract negotiations, including contract management and the conclusion of framework agreements
- Design, participation and stakeholder management in procurement-related projects/topics with various departments
- Invoice verification and approval
- Identification, development and implementation of savings potential from a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) perspective
- Use and application of modern procurement and purchasing tools (e.g., e-procurement)
Requirements
- Commercial or technical vocational training with additional qualification or a completed degree
- Several years of professional experience in procurement or purchasing within an industrial or commercial environment
- Relevant technical and market knowledge
- Very good knowledge of standard software (Microsoft Office)
- Basic AI knowledge and experience applying AI agents desirable
- Enthusiasm, motivation, commitment and initiative
- Quick comprehension and very good analytical and conceptual skills
- Sense of responsibility and discipline
