Responsibilities
Ensure the functionality of the compliance management system
Further develop berlinovo's compliance management system, including creating and implementing concepts
Support business units in defining and optimizing berlinovo's internal policies from a compliance perspective
Strengthen compliance risk prevention and implement regulatory requirements (Compliance Policy)
Coordinate and support cooperation with external counsel, auditors, authorities, etc.
Further develop whistleblower management: handle inquiries and reports, conduct fact-finding, coordinate cross-functional communication, and provide recommendations to optimize business processes, procedural workflows, SFO documents, and personnel disciplinary measures
Map business processes, procedures, flowcharts and provide argumentation and decision-support tools on compliance topics
Conduct or organize compliance training and prepare and, where required, lead or contribute to workshops, presentations and meetings
Support and coordinate audits of the compliance management system
Support the Money Laundering Officer to ensure compliance with due diligence obligations under the German Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG) across the group
Manage and monitor the compliance sub-budget
Requirements
Degree in business administration and/or law, or an equivalent qualification acquired through professional experience
Relevant professional experience, preferably in the real estate sector
Exemplary sense of responsibility and integrity
Quick comprehension as well as analytical and conceptual skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment and flexibility during periods of increased workload
Initiative and ability to work independently
Team player with assertiveness and a confident, solution-oriented approach to conflict resolution
