About the role

  • Full Stack Developer developing software for the railway industry. Working on various projects involving customer requirements, testing, and technology evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Software development as a Full Stack Developer (GUI and interface development, database programming, coordinating software architecture, ensuring adherence to coding standards)
  • Developing solution approaches to implement customer requirements and address issues
  • Designing and executing manual and automated tests
  • Point of contact for customers on technical and functional topics
  • Software support (database structure, IT administration, documentation)
  • Software deployment (planning and assembling customer-specific release packages)
  • Evaluating new technologies for use in the development process or in the product
  • Supporting team workflow organization and ensuring internal process execution

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science (e.g., Applied or Technical Computer Science, Business Informatics) or technical vocational training with further qualification as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker)
  • Required knowledge of programming languages: C#, HTML, JavaScript, Microsoft SQL
  • Desirable knowledge of: Blazor, test automation, DevOps, IT administration (e.g., VMware)
  • Experience with agile software development
  • Experience with software management and version control
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Enjoy interacting with customers; friendly and open demeanour
  • Quick comprehension when addressing problem situations
  • Independent, results-oriented, and reliable working style
  • Willingness to provide on-call support to strengthen the support team
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (within Germany and abroad)
  • Flexibility with changing tasks
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
