Finance Specialist leading financial operations and compliance for a fintech platform in LATAM markets. Collaborating with global teams and ensuring regulatory reporting across multiple subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for Brazilian subsidiaries, the Colombian subsidiary, and the U.S. holding company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in coordination with external accountants.
Serve as the global operator for Accounts Payable, expense management, and Accounts Receivable & billing (Brazil and Mexico), ensuring smooth coordination with People and Revenue teams.
Manage and support external audits and internal controls, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations (with particular attention to the regulated entity).
Own and deliver all regulatory reporting obligations for the regulated financial institution.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
Perform cost/managerial accounting tasks, including expense allocation and data analysis to support decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
4+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles in Brazil, ideally with exposure to other LATAM companies.
Proven experience in multi-company accounting, with strong preference for experience in Brazil and/or other LATAM markets.
Curiosity about and/or knowledge of Brazilian regulatory requirements, especially for payments institutions.
Strong reconciliation skills, particularly involving bank transactions and accounting records.
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Sheets.
Fluent in Portuguese and English.
Comfortable leveraging AI tools (e.g., chatbots, copilots, or productivity assistants) to enhance daily workflows and decision-making.
