About the role

  • Nordic Data Lead architecting data platforms for Carglass. Leading the migration of Nordic solutions into an enterprise-grade data platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Nordic data platform journey: Lead the migration of four existing Nordic solutions into a single, enterprise-grade data platform on our global architecture.
  • Design and implement scalable data models and warehouses, orchestrate robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and set the golden path for reuse.
  • Define and drive data quality rules, lineage, and documentation; champion governance aligned to global standards.
  • Ship analytics that change outcomes: Deliver high-value data models, semantic layers, and dashboards; set standards for versioning, testing, and release management.
  • Partner across the organisation to convert questions into trustworthy metrics and actionable KPIs.
  • Be the data evangelist: Coach analysts and business users; run enablement on data literacy and Power BI best practices.
  • Promote a “metrics over opinions” culture and a consistent business glossary across the Nordics.
  • Collaborate across the group: Work hand-in-hand with other Carglass companies outside the Nordics and our parent company to reuse patterns, align to global policies, and accelerate delivery with shared assets.
  • Engage senior stakeholders; turn strategy into a delivery roadmap with clear value milestones.

Requirements

  • Data engineering depth (you’ve built production-grade data platforms)
  • Strong skills in SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT patterns, orchestration, CI/CD for data, testing, observability, and cost/performance tuning.
  • Experience with our global tech-stack: Snowflake, Snowflake OpenFlow, dbt, AWS SDLF, Erwin, PowerBI.
  • Analytics: delivered enterprise Power BI datasets, reports, DAX, row-level security, telemetry, and governance at scale.
  • Data governance mindset: catalogue/lineage, definitions, quality SLAs, and pragmatic controls with business ownership.
  • Stakeholder leadership: confident with SLT and country GMs, able to translate business goals into data roadmaps and releases.
  • Culture carrier: clear communicator, coach, and change agent—comfortable influencing without authority.
  • Nice-to-haves: experience with cross-country migrations, ML/AI exposure, and experience working with multinational teams.
  • Experience managing vendors or delivery partners in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Regular travel across the Nordics, with occasional travel to other European countries.
  • Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language is required.
