About the role
- Business Controller reviewing financial reports and managing Finance Department in BCD Travel. Ensuring adherence to financial policies while overseeing a team for effective operations.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing all of the financial reporting requirements and accounting practices of BCD Travel or a specific region
- Establishing financial plans, policies and procedures to ensure that the assets of the company are secure, expenditures are properly outlined and contractual obligations are properly paid
- Providing oversight of and strategic direction to the functional areas of the reporting area
- Managing the Finance Department, including but not limited to, the general accounting, payroll, and Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) functions
- Reviewing monthly consolidated and branch financial statements, including financial projections and variance analysis
- Managing personnel including hiring, counseling, scheduling, terminating, training, motivating and evaluating
- Providing for the proper staffing and servicing of all operations within responsibility
- Building a team capable of carrying out objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field
- Relevant years of experience in Finance/Accounting role
- Proficiency with ERPs and MS-office required
- Proficiency in SAP / R3 FI & CO preferred
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
