About the role

• Mid-level React Native Developer for e-commerce mobile app at BARFER'S Wellfood. Collaborate on Shopify integrations and optimize app performance in Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain React Native app for iOS and Android, focused on Shopify-powered e-commerce experiences
• Design and implement clean, maintainable, and scalable codebases following modern React Native and Shopify best practices
• Connect mobile apps with Shopify APIs, custom storefronts, and backend services
• Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and the data team to ensure seamless and data-driven customer journeys
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, ensuring smooth user interactions and optimized checkout flows
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of professional software development, with 2+ years in React Native and experience building Shopify-integrated mobile apps or E-Commerce platforms
• Strong Knowledge of: React / React Native core concepts (Hooks, Context API, Navigation, etc.) TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+) Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, or Hydrogen) Payment systems and checkout integrations REST and GraphQL APIs Mobile performance optimization and offline-first patterns
• Tools & Practices: Git, CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, or similar) Unit and E2E testing (Jest, Detox, etc.) App Store / Play Store deployment Google Cloud
• Bonus Skills: Experience with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java) Familiarity with Shopify Hydrogen, Remix, or headless commerce setups Experience with analytics, personalization, or loyalty program integrations
