About the role

  • Manage the production workflow from script to screen in animation, overseeing crew and maintaining schedules. Collaborate with producers and key stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring all pre-production assets have been scheduled and assigned and are completed within the allocated time, including but not limited to storyboards, animatics, models, rigging, and that all materials are approved and ready for animation in accordance with the production schedule.
  • Exercise superior leadership, collaborative, and communication skills to ensure that inter and intra departmental tasks are assigned, understood and completed as per instructed.
  • Work with the Line Producer to ensure scripts are delivered according to schedules published.
  • Responsible for Script breakdown reviews and viability meetings with internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Work with the Line Producer to maintain and update working production schedules – overall, departmental, client, and service studios as requested
  • Supervise production coordinators and production assistants. Manage their assigned departments.
  • Utilize Shotgrid and oversee its use by the production team. Ensure that all tasks are tracked accurately.
  • Review and coordinate weekly to do lists with the members of the production team to ensure tracking and reporting are accurate and up to date.
  • Actively participate in scheduled production and team meetings
  • Provide internal and external weekly production status reports

Requirements

  • 5+ years of animation production experience on a fully animated or hybrid features
  • 2+ years experience in a leadership role on a fully animated or hybrid features
  • Previous experience managing and tracking against a schedule
  • Previous experience successfully managing multiple departments
  • Previous experience with Shotgrid, scheduling, monitoring and reporting on tasks
  • Experience working 3D animated series, 2D knowledge an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Film, TV Production Management

  • Salary Range $1400-1650 CAD Weekly The Salary Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.
