Responsibilities
Supporting compliance monitoring across high-risk engineering activities, including design, installation, maintenance, testing and inspection.
Providing clear advice and guidance to operational departments, contractors and project teams.
Developing technical competence to become a topic specialist in key engineering areas.
Contributing to compliance checks, incident investigations and planned audit activity.
Building knowledge of industry best practice for asset care, working at height, confined spaces, lifting operations, pressure systems, electrical testing and more.
Requirements
Experience working within a highly regulated, high-hazard industrial environment.
Operational experience within at least one relevant discipline (e.g., lifting operations, pressure systems, electrical testing, working at height, confined spaces).
Understanding of engineering compliance, safety management and regulatory frameworks.
Ability to interpret technical information and provide clear, practical guidance.
Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders across engineering and operations.
HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or Fire Management Disciplines).
IOSH Managing Safely or IOSH Risk Management qualification.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
