About the role

  • Project Coordinator at Babcock managing naval maintenance and sustainment projects supporting the Royal New Zealand Navy's operational readiness in Auckland. Collaborating with engineers and subcontractors in a fast-paced marine environment.

Responsibilities

  • You'll be at the centre of major naval maintenance and sustainment projects that directly support the operational readiness of the Royal New Zealand Navy.
  • You’ll work closely with engineers, subcontractors, and RNZN representatives, gaining exposure to complex marine engineering environments while helping to drive project performance, solve delivery challenges, and keep critical assets on schedule.
  • Every day brings variety—from coordinating logistics and reviewing schedules to analysing risks and supporting production teams on the ground.

Requirements

  • Trade background or equivalent technical experience
  • Project management experience (formal or demonstrable)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
  • Eligibility to obtain NZSIS Confidential Vetting (CV) clearance
