About the role

  • Source to Contract Manager at Babcock leading procurement initiatives and driving operational excellence in supply chain strategy. Collaborating across sectors for impactful national security.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic procurement initiatives that deliver real value to our business and customers.
  • Shape our five-year Procurement & Supply Chain strategy.
  • Build strong relationships across sectors.
  • Drive operational excellence.
  • Manage and direct procurement operations across Mission Systems.
  • Drive delivery of benefit and savings targets for the business.
  • Collate and present performance reports for Group and Sector leadership.
  • Champion process standardisation and act as Coupa lead for Group P&SC.

Requirements

  • Significant procurement experience, ideally in a project procurement environment, including management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Flexible approach to workload and ability to operate at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to lead and influence in a matrix environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, IFS, SAP, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Degree-level qualification and/or relevant engineering, supply chain, or lean culture experience.
  • Membership of a professional body such as CIPS Level 5 or above (advantageous but not essential).
