About the role

  • Senior Project Manager driving critical engineering projects within UK defence. Lead teams, manage risks, and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and strategic leadership to ensure successful delivery of project commitments.
  • Manage complex engineering projects, ensuring teams understand and meet requirements across cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Oversee full lifecycle delivery, including requirements capture, scoping, pricing, commercial solutions, and proposal development.
  • Drive effective risk management, minimising exposure and ensuring robust governance.
  • Apply structured change management to balance customer flexibility with sound commercial agreements.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in advanced project management within a relevant technical or engineering environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, motivating and directing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with varied demands, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Strong financial management capability to maintain project profitability.
  • Experience delivering solutions through internal resource teams and external supply chains.
  • APM PMQ or equivalent professional project management qualification.
  • Chartered status or equivalent accreditation.
  • The successful candidate must be a SOLE UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
