Responsibilities
- Deliver technical activities relating to nuclear waste management and strategy through the application of process, domain knowledge, and experience.
- Providing technical direction and resolving complex nuclear waste issues.
- Compiling technical reports and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues to develop capability within the team.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
- Driving business awareness and contributing to consultancy growth plans.
Requirements
- Extensive experience within the nuclear industry, including:
- Decommissioning planning and implementation.
- Integrated waste management strategies and waste characterisation.
- Environmental planning, permitting, and compliance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Ability to produce and peer-review technical guidance and standards.
- Consultancy experience with a track record of delivering strategic projects.
- Degree in Engineering or Science.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Scientist status.
- Additional certifications in waste management or nuclear safety (advantageous).
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
