About the role

  • Management Accountant at Babcock providing financial insights for marine operations and supporting strategic decision-making with analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting and scenario modelling.
  • Produce insightful management reports to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Partner with cost centre owners to understand financial performance, cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with inventory management processes, strengthening governance and controls.
  • Support business cases, investment decisions and commercial models to ensure value‑for‑money and strategic alignment.

Requirements

  • Essential: Qualified accountant or exam‑complete finalist (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) with relevant experience.
  • Desirable: Experience within marine, manufacturing, engineering or large operational environments.
  • Exposure to inventory management or project‑based finance.
  • Experience supporting operational, engineering or industrial environments.
  • Strong analytical capability and a proactive, business‑focused mindset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and influence decision‑makers.
  • Confidence to challenge constructively and provide balanced commercial insight.
  • Experience collaborating with multi‑disciplinary stakeholders.
