About the role

• Engineering Manager leading naval engineering projects at Babcock, overseeing complex engineering issues and managing international customers. Ensuring technical excellence while supporting national security and advancing careers.

Responsibilities

• Act as delegated Technical Authority for systems/functions within a design in line with Design Authority principles
• Manage stakeholders to ensure delivery of outputs meets project plans and contract quality standards
• Oversee technical risk management and resolve complex engineering issues
• Independently review technical development and assist in resolving design challenges
• Ensure designs and supplier equipment meet contractual requirements

Requirements

• Proven knowledge and experience in naval surface shipbuilding within your area of expertise
• Ability to manage international customers and adapt to cultural differences
• Willingness to travel internationally, including extended visits to customer sites
• Chartered Engineer status and an engineering degree (or equivalent academic standard)
• Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent
• Must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
