Responsibilities
Act as Technical Authority for Electrical Services at HMNB Clyde, representing Babcock Marine in technical and organisational meetings
Survey and inspect assets across HMNB Clyde, applying MoD Defence Estates asset grading standards
Champion safety, security, quality, and environmental standards within the Facility Design section
Deliver electrical and building services designs for projects under £25k and oversee third-party designs for larger projects
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while optimising client investment
Requirements
Proven experience in Electrical Design roles
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment within large commercial site operations
Understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements such as DSEAR
Working knowledge of engineering drawings and electrical calculations
Recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
18th Edition City & Guilds
City & Guilds 2395 Periodic Inspection Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
