Responsibilities
- Act as Technical Authority for Electrical Services at HMNB Clyde, representing Babcock Marine in technical and organisational meetings
- Survey and inspect assets across HMNB Clyde, applying MoD Defence Estates asset grading standards
- Champion safety, security, quality, and environmental standards within the Facility Design section
- Deliver electrical and building services designs for projects under £25k and oversee third-party designs for larger projects
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while optimising client investment
Requirements
- Proven experience in Electrical Design roles
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment within large commercial site operations
- Understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements such as DSEAR
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings and electrical calculations
- Recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 18th Edition City & Guilds
- City & Guilds 2395 Periodic Inspection Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
