About the role

  • Team Leader managing Corporate Actions and Income Taxes operations at Azqore in Lisbon. Ensuring efficiency and risk management while collaborating with European stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for managing Corporate Actions, Income and Taxes processing within the Portugal Securities Operations team.
  • A solid understanding of the core system and process workflows is essential.
  • Ensure operational efficiency and excellence while maintaining low levels of operational risk.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for European clients regarding Corporate Actions queries, concerns and issues.
  • Expected to understand the relevant markets and demonstrate front-to-back knowledge of the processes they manage.
  • Proactively manage and resolve discrepancies related to the functions for which they are responsible, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders locally and internationally.
  • Drive cross-border collaboration and strengthen communication channels between the Portuguese and Swiss teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the key risk areas in Corporate Actions and Income/Taxes functions and the relevant controls.
  • Ensure controls are performed in accordance with procedures.
  • Strong escalation skills and the ability to participate in diagnostic processes and implement solutions.
  • Prior experience in securities or financial operations preferred.
  • Build and maintain strong communication channels with clients and stakeholders.
  • Client-service oriented.
  • Knowledge of banking and financial services processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools and software for securities processing.
  • Rigorous and results-oriented.
  • Adaptable and resilient.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
