About the role
- Financial Accountant contributing to audit support and regulatory reporting at Ayvens. Collaboration with accounting teams in Hamburg or Düsseldorf for financial compliance duties.
Responsibilities
- Join the accounting team as a Financial Accountant (Audit Support)
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on accounting-related matters
- Responsible for regulatory reporting
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including preparation of German statutory financial statements
- Ensure compliance with local quality requirements for the general ledger
- Reconcile and support operational accounting and intercompany processes
- Prepare and document provisions and accruals
- Co-responsible for the implementation and compliance of internal control system (ICS) controls
Requirements
- Degree in economics/business with a focus on finance, or completed commercial vocational training with additional qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) (m/f/d)
- Several years of professional experience in external audit and/or general ledger accounting
- Good to very good knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS, ideally also of RechKredV
- Excellent MS Office skills and experience with SAP R/3
- Good communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
- Team player with a structured, quality-oriented working style
- Empathy and a high degree of self-initiative
