About the role

  • Inside Sales Specialist managing customer relationships and driving sales efforts for Avnet Abacus in Germany. Collaborating with Account Managers and Product Marketing to strategize sales.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, development and follow-up of quotes in close cooperation with Account Managers and Product Marketing
  • Price determination and quoting
  • Maintaining relevant contacts with manufacturers and Avnet Abacus purchasing and marketing
  • Recording, tracking and follow-up of orders, including checking customer creditworthiness
  • Proactive backlog management (monitoring orders, delivery dates and price changes)
  • Implementation of logistics and framework agreements
  • Handling customer complaints
  • Monitoring returns and credit notes
  • Maintenance of customer master data
  • Channeling technical and other customer inquiries and coordinating the deployment of all available resources as required (FAEs, service functions)
  • Maintaining and expanding customer contacts
  • Proactive selling, primarily by phone
  • Revenue and profit responsibility for assigned customers

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training or technical training with additional commercial/business training
  • Experience in inside sales desirable
  • Empathetic, persuasive sales personality with a strong enjoyment of personal customer contact
  • Team player, organized, committed, creative and proactive with high resilience
  • German and English language skills, spoken and written
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques desirable
  • Experience with common PC applications (MS Office, SAP, web-based applications) is an advantage
  • Very good Excel skills and enthusiasm for regularly using and improving those skills
  • Enjoyment of analytical and solution-oriented thinking and working
