Responsibilities
- Oversee, develop and mentor a highly productive team of GIS Specialists & Data Scientists
- Establish a vision with stakeholders and create a culture that treats geospatial data and data science as essential assets
- Lead the development and deployment of modern GIS tools and business solutions
- Deliver on an ambitious GIS roadmap to transform our business operations and manage future climate risk
- Stay current with advancements in GIS technology and best practices
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in GIS analytics, Data Science or other analytical roles
- Cross-functional skills that allow you to straddle the worlds of climate science, data science, engineering & core insurance functions
- The ability to not simply build a great algorithm or solution but also to generate buy-in, excitement and support for the offering
- Excellent leadership skills and a track record of high engagement, innovation and empowerment of your team
