About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations for federal clients
  • Translate client requirements and business questions into clear, actionable Power BI reporting solutions
  • Build and optimize Power BI data models, including relationships, measures, and calculated columns
  • Develop and maintain DAX measures and Power Query transformations
  • Connect Power BI to approved data sources, including Excel, SharePoint, SQL-based systems, and other client-approved repositories
  • Ensure dashboards follow best practices for usability, performance, and data accuracy
  • Maintain and enhance existing Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client requirements
  • Support documentation of dashboards, data sources, assumptions, and calculations
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to prioritize reporting needs and updates
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests and data visualizations as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal data handling, security, and access requirements
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss reporting needs, enhancements, and findings
  • Provide limited guidance or knowledge-sharing to team members on Power BI usage and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Demonstrated experience with DAX, Power Query, and Power BI data modeling
  • Experience delivering Power BI solutions in a federal or government-contracting environment strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and deliver complete Power BI solutions with minimal oversight
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting priorities and deadlines
  • Existing CBP clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance required
