About the role

  • Lead customer security workstream while aligning it with ICEYE's operational security. Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance and effective security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end customer security workstream, make the delta from the ICEYE baseline explicit early, and turn it into stable, implementable work aligned to milestones.
  • Act as partner with Missions to ensure operational security practices are clearly defined, nationally appropriate and followed in compliance with regulations
  • Own the customer-facing security workstream end-to-end and keep it aligned with programme goals, schedules, and acceptance milestones.
  • Make the delta between the ICEYE security baseline and customer requirements explicit early, keep it current, and turn it into implementable work.
  • Work with the corporate security team to refine and streamline the security practices as the business grows and regulations change.
  • Protect the standard product by avoiding customer-specific variants and raise risks early when a requirement is trending toward exceptions.
  • Convert recurring customer deltas into structured, cross-correlated proposals for Product and Engineering, ensuring product evolution is driven by patterns — not single-customer pressure.
  • Provide clear, timely updates on the security workstream status so stakeholders do not need to chase for information.
  • Raise blockers, ambiguities, and emerging risks early with recommended next steps.
  • Translate complex security requirements into understandable work items with clear outcomes.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with international and national security standards and practices, combined with the ability to translate complex regulatory language into clear outcome oriented requirements for mixed technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of formal compliance and milestone acceptance processes enable you to arrive, prepare and confidently defend “meet” / “does not meet” positions even under scrutiny during reviews.
  • Experience in designing and implementing security controls across regulated and accredited environments while avoiding unnecessary complexity.
  • Strong understanding of distributed-systems security principles and sound judgement on whether risks are mitigated via configuration, design, or operationally.
  • Customer facing roles have developed your communication style to be reader and listener centric and audience-aware ensuring stakeholders receive the clarity they need without having to chase for context or status.

Benefits

  • Base salary range for this position is contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
  • A job that matters in a dynamic Defence Technology and Earth Observation environment with a scale-up approach
  • An independent role with a supportive and diverse work environment
  • Occupational healthcare, occupational, and accident insurance
  • A yearly benefit budget to spend as you wish (i.e. on sport, transport, bike benefit, wellness, lunch, etc.)
  • Phone subscription with iPhone of choice
  • Relocation support (i.e. flight tickets, accommodation, relocation agency support)
  • Time for self-development, research, training, conferences, or certification schemes
  • Inspiring and collaborating offices and silent workspaces enable you to focus
