Responsibilities
Teach courses as agreed upon with the DPT Program Director
Travel and stay in Sioux Falls, SD, or the greater Minneapolis, MN area for designated periods each trimester
Refer to the appropriate faculty rank within the Augustana University Faculty Manual for service and scholarship responsibilities
Adhere to the Core Values of the Physical Therapy profession
Handle detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality (FERPA)
Interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty, and staff.
Handle a wide range of responsibilities in the DPT Program.
Requirements
Clinical experience in at least one of the following practice areas: Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy, Primary Care PT, Pain Management
Ability to teach in Therapeutic Interventions and/or Physical Therapy Fundamentals
Teaching experience (particularly in hybrid education) preferred
Higher education leadership preferred
Established research and scholarship agendas preferred
Records of community service preferred
Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or tDPT) required
Active physical therapy license in home state and eligibility for licensure in South Dakota and Minnesota
Candidates with significant progress towards a terminal academic doctorate preferred.
Excellent communication and strong computer skills are required to meet online didactic instructional format needs.
