About the role

  • Quality Assurance Engineer ensuring software quality at AT&T by maintaining web applications. Responsible for test automation, issue resolution, and quality metrics monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the exceptional quality of our back-end and front-end web applications
  • Design and execute automated tests
  • Identify and resolve issues
  • Define corrective measures
  • Review system requirements
  • Monitor quality assurance metrics to ensure optimal performance
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Work with the US-based Quality Lead to develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

  • Experience as a member of the SCRUM team in the same/similar position
  • Experience with testing tools
  • Experience with Test Automation
  • Experience on the level of the test automation architect or programmer is an Advantage
  • Willingness and open to learn new technologies (Windows, Linux, Unix, AZURE, C/C++, C#/.NET, JAVA, Python, TypeScript, Bash, PowerShell, GIT, Some Relational and non-REL DBs such a Mongo, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL)
  • Experience with any Testing Frameworks /Libraries (Playwright, Cypress.IO, Pytest, Selenium, Cucumber) is an advantage
  • Experiences with any object-oriented programming language is an Advantage
  • Able to work with standard collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, GIT)
  • Experiences with IDE are Advantage (we are using MS Studio CODE)
