About the role
- Database Administrator managing and optimizing database environments while automating activities and ensuring operational continuity. Contributing to digital transformation efforts with advanced database technologies.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize database environments and ensure operational continuity (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MariaDB/MySQL)
- Design and implement database management system infrastructures (Oracle Clusterware, shared/multi-tenant environments)
- Implement database replication solutions (Oracle: Data Guard; PostgreSQL/MariaDB/MySQL: streaming, standby & logical replication; SQL Server: Always On)
- Handle service requests and Level 2 incidents and liaise with the client's Level 3 teams when necessary
- Participate in production releases
- Analyze and monitor production deployment incidents
- Maintain overall production service conditions (resolve incidents within your technical domain and propose improvements)
- Enrich operational runbooks and reference repositories
- Contribute to automation and process improvements
- Perform technical integration of components in compliance with operability standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's to Master's degree in Computer Science (Bac+3 to Bac+5 or equivalent)
- Significant professional experience with the following database technologies - Required: Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Plus: MySQL and SQL Server
- OS: Red Hat Linux, Windows Server and VMware environments
- Plus: Agile/DevOps methodology
- Excellent interpersonal skills
