About the role
- Lead Designer overseeing BIM/CAD teams for nuclear projects at AtkinsRéalis. Responsible for managing technical excellence and deliverables in multidisciplinary environments.
Responsibilities
- Be part of the AtkinsRéalis NNB delivery team.
- Lead and manage CAD/BIM packages with minimal supervision.
- Technically supervise and mentor CAD/BIM technicians.
- Ensure deliverables meet client scope, budget, and quality expectations.
- Implement and enforce CAD/BIM standards across projects.
- Identify training needs and support team development.
- Support project teams in proposal and delivery phases.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 5 - 7 years of experience in delivering multidisciplinary projects.
- Advanced knowledge of CAD/BIM tools.
- Strong experience in reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Capable of independently producing Revit models in coordination with Architecture/MEP.
- Competent in checking and assigning detailing work.
- Ensures drawings comply with UK/ME/Canada regional standards.
- Demonstrates understanding of commercial aspects of project management.
- Leads innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
