About the role
- Engineering Student assisting in various engineering projects related to nuclear technology. Provides support under supervision and gains experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and discipline leads with day-to-day tasks
- Contribute to conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases for CANDU and other nuclear electrical systems under the supervision of a P.Eng.
- Support the development of electrical engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams and project sectors to coordinate assigned tasks
- Attend technical and coordination meetings as needed
- Contribute to a collaborative, open-minded, and positive team environment
Requirements
- Solid foundation in engineering, physics, and mathematics
- Basic knowledge of analytical and design tools such as MATLAB, ETAP, and MathCAD
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Prior experience in the nuclear industry is considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance is mandatory
- Currently enrolled in Electrical engineering/Engineering Science/Math Program with an accredited Canadian University
