- Engineering Manager leading detailed engineering and project studies for Minerals and Metals. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with client objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage studies and engineering projects for Minerals and Metals projects
- Oversee cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines
- Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Conduct structured trade-off studies and risk assessments to support decision-making
- Ensure technical quality and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Engage in process design, equipment selection, vendor coordination
- Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution and study methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10–15 years of experience in Minerals and Metals industry
- Member of the Ontario and/or Quebec Order of Engineers is an asset
- 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large- and small-scale projects within Mining and Metals
- Bilingual capabilities (e.g., English, French) being an asset
- Strong understanding of process flowsheets, equipment integration, constructability
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, @Risk)
- Familiarity with SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, and other engineering software
- Operational and site experience in mineral processing plants
- Knowledge of project safety standards
- Ability to drive safety culture
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
