About the role
- Civil Engineer delivering technical design work for multi-disciplinary projects at AtkinsRéalis. Supporting a diverse team on various engineering design deliverables in the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Support or lead a small team in the delivery of technical design work on multi-disciplinary projects following relevant national and project specific design codes and standards
- Responsible for inputting and/or preparing technical deliverables such as design reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work with defined scope
- Provide technical input into project design deliverables for Civil aspects of multi-disciplinary projects
- Collaborate with immediate Civil engineering team and multi-disciplinary project teams on delivery of various size engineering design deliverables and projects
- Work independently with moderate technical guidance
- Use technical experience and judgement to solve design problems and provide informal guidance to junior team members
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design including check of own work as well as others
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer
- Proven experience in delivery of technical design work as part of a Civil engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy
- Broad knowledge and practical experience in external works such as drainage, utilities, pavements and earthworks
- Practical knowledge of current design codes and standards as well as industry best practices, including CDM Regulations
- Proficiency in applicable analytical software and related tools such as Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage and Civil3D
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively within diverse multi-disciplinary teams.
