About the role
- Field Clinical Advisor for AstraZeneca, overseeing clinical trials in cell therapy. Driving recruitment, retention, and safety management while generating insights for innovative therapies.
Responsibilities
- Influence: Build knowledge of AstraZeneca’s cell therapy pipeline
- Ensure compliant communication across all regions
- Systematically assess educational needs across all sites
- Provide advanced protocol training
- Capture relevant insights from the field
- Implement targeted protocol training
- Act as primary field contact for protocol and clinical queries
- Systematically collect site-specific insights
- Coordinate delivery across CTCO functions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct and AstraZeneca policies
- Directly improve the speed, quality and consistency of AstraZeneca’s cell therapy studies.
Requirements
- University degree in a related field, preferably life sciences, or equivalent qualification; postgraduate degree (e.g., PhD) desirable
- Several years’ experience in clinical research or medical field roles with a focus in oncology/hematology/immunology/rare diseases or advanced therapies
- Direct CAR‑T/cell therapy experience
- Strong technical knowledge and extensive experience in clinical operations, particularly regarding patient journeys in cell therapy
- Excellent knowledge of the clinical trial process, procedural documentation and international GMP‑ICH‑GCP guidelines
- Excellent partner management skills with the ability to translate complex protocols into practical site-level actions
- Strong patient- and site-centric mindset and good knowledge of relevant local and international regulations
- Proven ability to set and manage priorities, resources, performance objectives and project initiatives in a regional and local environment
- Highly data-oriented with proven experience in data-driven approaches to identify trends, risks and opportunities for operational improvements
- Ability to identify and promote more efficient and effective clinical development methods/processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel at least 50–80% regionally/nationally to support study sites and program needs
- Excellent German and English language skills, and strong ability to learn and adapt to IT systems.
