About the role
- Sustainability Compliance Manager ensuring compliance with EU/Finnish sustainability legislation for biogas production operations. Leading audits and managing reporting to relevant authorities in Finland and Nordic regions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with EU and Finnish sustainability legislation and applicable certification schemes for biogas and biofertiliser
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, inspections, and risk assessments related to sustainability and certification
- Manage reporting to relevant Finnish authorities and other stakeholders
- Continuously enhance internal processes, procedures, and control systems
- Provide training and guidance across the company on sustainability criteria
- Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure a seamless compliance strategy
- Contribute to new business opportunities by analysing legislation
Requirements
- University degree (BSc or MSc) in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
- Substantial experience in sustainability certification for biogas, regulatory audits, and reporting
- Solid understanding of the EU Renewable Energy Directives (RED II/RED III)
- Professional fluency in English
- Finnish proficiency is mandatory
- Knowledge of Finnish regulatory reporting and sustainability requirements is a plus
- Swedish is a plus
