About the role

  • QA Architect at HID Global responsible for quality engineering strategy and automation frameworks to ensure high-quality product releases. Collaborating with engineering, product, DevOps, and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define the end-to-end QA strategy, including functional, non-functional, automation, performance, and security testing.
  • Architect scalable, reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
  • Establish quality gates, standards, and best practices across CI/CD pipelines.
  • Select testing tools, automation frameworks, and platforms aligned with tech stack (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, JMeter, etc.)
  • Drive adoption of shift-left and shift-right testing practices.
  • Build reusable libraries, utilities, coding guidelines, and test design patterns.
  • Implement KPIs such as test coverage, defect leakage, automation effectiveness, and release quality metrics.
  • Conduct technical reviews of test plans, automation code, and performance test scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with security, performance, and reliability standards.
  • Architect performance testing solutions (load, stress, endurance, scalability).
  • Recommend optimizations based on bottleneck analysis and production insights.
  • Support defect RCA and propose long-term preventive measures.
  • Define QA processes, templates, and SOPs.
  • Maintain documentation of frameworks, test strategies, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall experience in Test/QA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with Java/Python/TypeScript test automation
  • Strong in API testing and automation frameworks (REST Assured, Postman/Newman, etc.)
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and microservices testing
  • Solid knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust)
  • Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment and learn new concepts
  • Experience in Agile software development environment preferred
  • Understanding of Change and Release Management
  • Good knowledge for code repository Bitbucket/SVN
  • Exposure to AI tools
