About the role

  • Data Analyst interpreting and validating data for data-focused team at Arrow Global. Working closely with Data Stewards and Engineering to ensure data quality and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Exploratory Data Analysis of structured and unstructured datasets
  • Extensive Data Profiling using Excel, SQL and bespoke tools
  • Segmentation, anomaly/outlier detection, trending analysis
  • Reconcile and validate data across multiple sources
  • Present findings in plain language, including limitations and confidence levels
  • Support Data Stewards with Data Discovery & Insights
  • Support Data Engineering in the onboarding/integration of new datasets
  • Ensure proper handling of sensitive data (PII)

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field is preferable
  • Proven experience in a Data Analyst / Business Intelligence / Analytics role, ideally in financial services or alternative investments
  • A background in financial data domains (IBOR/ABOR, transactions, market data, reference data)
  • Resourceful, motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment where processes and datasets are evolving.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Expert level proficiency in Excel & SQL is a must
  • Power BI experience a plus
  • Working experience with Python a plus
