About the role

  • Senior Applications Developer guiding Arlington County's Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint initiatives. Participating in architecture, design, and development of solutions aligned with technology objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and develop the County's Microsoft Office 365 (M365) and SharePoint initiatives.
  • Participate in the architecture, design, configuration, development and deployment of complex enterprise solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with DTS' technology objectives and strategies.
  • Communicate complex technical approaches to non-technical staff stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related area plus considerable experience in the following areas:
  • Developing technical applications using SharePoint, .Net Framework, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript;
  • Deploying M365 and new feature sets from Microsoft such as Copilot;
  • Developing relational databases using SQL Server or similar software product;
  • Working in an Agile development environment;
  • Previous experience developing AI/ML solutions.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience utilizing Microsoft Azure, Microsoft PowerPlatform, Microsoft Copilot, Dynamics (D365) CRM and/or using SQL Server, Azure OpenAI, AI/ML services.
