About the role
- Senior Space T&V Engineer supporting NASA's Human Space Flight Program. Review and resolve technical and operational issues for NASA missions at Johnson Space Center.
Responsibilities
- Review and identify, document, and resolve issues with technical, programmatic, and operations data
- Participate in International Space Station (ISS) Visiting Vehicle (VV) Integration Milestone reviews
- Provide integrated ISS Program input to resolve issues
- Provide support to NASA Transportation Integration Office (TIO) management by reviewing deliverables
- Analyze, review, and integrate ISS inputs of vehicle provider planning and verification closure documentation
- Develop, maintain, and provide technical review, and verification of Specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs)
- Manage execution of the VV verification closure process for ISS requirements
Requirements
- Support on-site at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with management, customers and stakeholders
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), SharePoint
- Knowledge of engineering principles and technical writing
- Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently
- Provide evidence of increasing responsibility in test and verification activities over at least a ten-year period
- BS degree in engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred, but not required)
