About the role
- Structural Engineer delivering consulting services for climate adaptation projects including flood risk reduction and waterfront infrastructure resilience. Conducting structural analysis and managing budgets and schedules.
Responsibilities
- conduct structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction services for climate adaptation projects
- conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work with well-defined scope
- research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and regulatory agency specifications
- develop calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, contract documents
- collaborate with various engineering disciplines, project staff, client and sub-contractors
- manage related budgets and schedules, lead deliverables
- mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff
Requirements
- 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- experience in designing flood walls, flood gates, retaining wall structures, and deep foundations
- experience working on Federal resiliency projects
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from a reputable institution is a plus
- proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit
