- Principal Process Mechanical/Wastewater Engineer at Arcadis enhancing municipal water solutions while leading design efforts and mentoring engineers in a hybrid environment. Located in Tampa, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Utilize expertise and technical knowledge to lead design efforts
- Mentor young engineers
- Execute projects successfully
- Provide leadership, technical knowledge, and experience to further develop design team capabilities
- Serve as design manager and lead project tasks in planning, design, permitting and construction of wastewater and/or reclaimed water facilities
- Create and/or oversee preparation of construction documents and permit applications
- Lead preparation of detailed engineering calculations and analysis
- Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for wastewater system assets
- Develop and meet scope, delivery schedules and project budgets
- Strengthen client relationships through professionalism and technical expertise in meetings
- Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior staff
- Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards
- Travel (up to 20%) may be required for project meetings, site visits, and client meetings
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment and design
- Experience leading design projects and managing multi-disciplinary design teams
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida
- Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
- Excellent technical writing abilities
- Experience managing the preparation, review, and approval of project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, permit applications, RFIs, as-built drawings, and other relevant design and construction documents
- Strong client relationship skills
- Proven track record of successfully delivering various engineering projects that meet client expectations
