Responsibilities
Utilize expertise and technical knowledge to lead design efforts
Mentor young engineers
Execute projects successfully
Provide leadership, technical knowledge, and experience to further develop design team capabilities
Serve as design manager and lead project tasks in planning, design, permitting and construction of wastewater and/or reclaimed water facilities
Create and/or oversee preparation of construction documents and permit applications
Lead preparation of detailed engineering calculations and analysis
Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for wastewater system assets
Develop and meet scope, delivery schedules and project budgets
Strengthen client relationships through professionalism and technical expertise in meetings
Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior staff
Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards
Travel (up to 20%) may be required for project meetings, site visits, and client meetings
Requirements
At least 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment and design
Experience leading design projects and managing multi-disciplinary design teams
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or a related field
Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida
Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
Excellent technical writing abilities
Experience managing the preparation, review, and approval of project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, permit applications, RFIs, as-built drawings, and other relevant design and construction documents
Strong client relationship skills
Proven track record of successfully delivering various engineering projects that meet client expectations
