About the role
- Junior Civil Engineer designing infrastructure projects for clients across North America. Responsible for stakeholder management, permitting, and technical studies in civil engineering.
Responsibilities
- Interacting with internal and external stakeholders on civil design.
- Interfacing with local jurisdictions regarding permitting and design plans.
- Provide design support on Industrial Infrastructure and Transit and Freight Rail projects throughout North America.
- Review regulations and standards to support technical studies, design, and permitting activities.
- Use engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, simulation models) to prepare analyses and documents.
- Prepare Issued for Construction (IFC) plans, reports, specifications, and technical designs for civil/site and railroad projects.
- Conduct site inspections and attend jurisdictional or client meetings; travel up to 15% within North America.
Requirements
- EIT license required.
- Natural or acquired U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- Experience in industrial and commercial infrastructure design, construction, permitting, and plans examination.
- Proficiency with project/document management platforms such as Civil 3D, ACC, Procore, BIM360, ProjectWise.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu
- Ability/experience in design detailing.
