About the role

  • Engineering Co-op Student assisting in infrastructure design processes and project coordination tasks for transportation-related structures in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of structural technical reports, project proposals, and presentations
  • Coordinate with structural designers and engineers to ensure design intent is accurately captured in technical documents
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate overall transportation planning and engineering solutions into proposal pursuit documents
  • Conduct field investigations and data collection for current ongoing projects
  • Assist with detailed CAD drawing modifications of transportation structures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, standards, and best practices in structural engineering and planning

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering (or related) undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation)
  • Basic understanding of structural analysis principles
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated interest in bridge design, analysis, and construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
