About the role

  • AI Product Manager at Arbital Health responsible for Merlin AI development and reliability. Collaborating across teams to drive user-facing intelligence in healthcare analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Own Merlin’s AI workflows, reliability, and user-facing intelligence experiences; responsible for day-to-day AI product execution and iteration of the Merlin intelligence roadmap, aligned with pillar strategy
  • Turn high-level user problems into structured workflows, data requirements, and success criteria; drive clarity on what Merlin should do, why it matters, and how correctness is measured
  • Translate ambiguity into shippable AI systems by writing clear specs, PRDs, evaluation frameworks, and edge-case handling for AI behaviors
  • Break down complex actuarial and clinical questions into the data primitives Merlin needs, and partner with engineering on safe, reliable model interactions (planning, RAG, schema alignment, fallbacks)
  • Drive delivery and reliability by overseeing model and coordinating prompt changes, SQL logic, and evaluation pipelines; define guardrails to reduce hallucinations and ensure predictable deployments
  • Collaborate with the sciences team on repeatable testing frameworks and workflows for new markets and contracts
  • Shape the customer-facing intelligence experience by leading discovery with payers and providers, mapping user questions to Merlin capabilities, and driving adoption through demos, supporting GTM enablement, and messaging
  • Run the execution rhythm across teams (prioritization, sprint alignment, risk tracking, cross-team syncs) and partner with delivery and implementation to ensure clean, accurate Merlin launches
  • Identify high-leverage intelligence features that differentiate Arbital, bring insights from user queries into product and commercial strategy, and build internal playbooks and frameworks that make future AI development faster and safer

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in product management, consulting, analytics, or adjacent roles with significant ownership and execution responsibility
  • Proven experience translating ambiguous problems into shipped systems with engineers
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, actuarial concepts, value-based care, or financial analytics
  • Strong systems thinking: ability to reason about data, workflows, edge cases, and tradeoffs
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments with incomplete information
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, data/science, and customer-facing teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to move from executive conversations to detailed specs without losing clarity.

Benefits

  • Generous equity grants of ISO stock options
  • We offer an exceptional benefits package with high employer-paid contributions for health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 4% 401(k) match
  • Flexible PTO, a weeklong winter shutdown, and 10 holidays each year
  • Occasional travel required - Quarterly team offsites
