About the role

  • Procurement specialist overseeing the entire operational purchasing process within a team. Focusing on efficiency and cost-optimized procurement by collaborating with suppliers and internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • You manage the entire operational purchasing process – from offer analysis through negotiation to on-time delivery
  • You handle the full operational procurement of materials and services: offer analysis (price, quality, lead time, sustainability)
  • Price/terms negotiations within your authorization
  • Ordering, delivery tracking, dunning and complaint handling in the ERP system (proAlpha)
  • Point of contact for internal departments and support with intercompany matters
  • Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships, including evaluations and audits
  • Monitor market and price developments
  • Optimize and digitize purchasing processes; maintain master data
  • Analyze purchasing KPIs, prepare reports and contribute to savings initiatives
  • Participate in contract and investment projects as well as group-wide synergy initiatives

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training – ideally as an Industrial Clerk (Industriekaufmann/-frau) or in Wholesale and Foreign Trade
  • At least 5 years of experience in operational purchasing at a manufacturing company
  • Confident user of MS Office and ERP systems – proAlpha is an advantage
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical thinker, assertive, team- and process-oriented
