Responsibilities
- The Senior Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting the development, management, and reporting of sustainability programs across various sectors.
- This role involves providing data analytics, calculations, and consultancy services, aimed at underpinning clients’ sustainability goals and objectives.
- The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and global sustainability experts to deliver major projects and innovate solutions encompassing life cycle assessments, sustainable packaging, and waste recovery, depending on the project requirements.
- The consultant is responsible for performing detailed calculations, interpreting data, and developing reports that communicate environmental, social, and economic sustainability metrics.
- Senior Consultants are expected to manage projects, mentor junior consultants, and ensure continuous learning while staying updated on industry trends and regulations.
Requirements
- BA/BSc. degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Economics, or related field
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience in the areas of product stewardship or extended producer responsibility.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience in using other analytics software and visualization tools will be beneficial.
- Solid skills in navigating and maximizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- With 2+ years of relevant experience in the environmental sustainability sphere, covering topics such as life cycle assessments and circularity, optional but is an advantage.
- Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI or Tableau experience is an advantage
- Experience in supporting supplier audits, environmental programs, and supplier capacity development is an advantage. Strong consulting, communicating, critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills, able to work independently and within a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills with clarity on need for prioritisation
