Responsibilities
The Senior Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting the development, management, and reporting of sustainability programs across various sectors.
This role involves providing data analytics, calculations, and consultancy services, aimed at underpinning clients’ sustainability goals and objectives.
The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and global sustainability experts to deliver major projects and innovate solutions encompassing life cycle assessments, sustainable packaging, and waste recovery, depending on the project requirements.
The consultant is responsible for performing detailed calculations, interpreting data, and developing reports that communicate environmental, social, and economic sustainability metrics.
Senior Consultants are expected to manage projects, mentor junior consultants, and ensure continuous learning while staying updated on industry trends and regulations.
Requirements
BA/BSc. degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Economics, or related field
Ideally 3-5 years of experience in the areas of product stewardship or extended producer responsibility.
Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience in using other analytics software and visualization tools will be beneficial.
Solid skills in navigating and maximizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
With 2+ years of relevant experience in the environmental sustainability sphere, covering topics such as life cycle assessments and circularity, optional but is an advantage.
Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI or Tableau experience is an advantage
Experience in supporting supplier audits, environmental programs, and supplier capacity development is an advantage. Strong consulting, communicating, critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills, able to work independently and within a team
Strong time management and organisational skills with clarity on need for prioritisation
