CMM Programmer responsible for creating and updating measurement programs in collaboration with quality assurance. Optimizing measuring processes to reduce costs and time in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Create and update measurement programs based on technical drawings and applicable standards and regulations in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Engineering
Optimize measurement programs to reduce measurement time and lower costs (e.g., by reducing required equipment)
Set up probing systems
Inspect probe and measurement systems for functionality (e.g., probe wear or misalignment)
Perform regular maintenance and servicing of CMMs and associated inspection equipment
Procure or implement redundancies for measurement machines (contingency/emergency strategy)
Conduct assigned inspection tasks and data analyses, and document the results
Perform special measurements (e.g., manual measurements)
Conduct training sessions on measurement-specific topics
Requirements
Completed technical vocational training or further education in metrology/measurement technology
Very good knowledge of CMM programming (Zeiss Calypso, Adcole, Hommel, etc.)
Strong understanding of reading technical drawings and specifications
Solid understanding of automotive quality requirements (IATF 16949)
Experience in quality assurance and metrology
Several years of programming experience (Zeiss Calypso) advantageous
Knowledge of series production with emphasis on machining and assembly processes
Experience working with ERP systems and MS Office applications
