About the role

  • Active Parts Design Engineer specializing in Hydro Generators for ANDRITZ's global Hydropower solutions. Involves creation of 3D models and supporting technical project executions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop 3D models, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications for the active parts of rotating electrical machines
  • Support the Senior Design Engineer in technical project execution
  • Prepare for and participate in design reviews
  • Provide technical support to departments such as Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Assembly, and Commissioning
  • Participate in regular internal design meetings to coordinate project-related engineering decisions
  • Continuously transfer knowledge within the team

Requirements

  • Completed technical education (HTL or equivalent)
  • Several years of professional experience in design engineering required
  • Knowledge of generators is an advantage
  • Experience in technical drafting
  • Strong CAD skills, ideally with Siemens NX experience
  • SAP knowledge is beneficial
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • High level of initiative
  • Strong communication skills
  • Independent and well-organized working style
