About the role

• Engineer joining Anchor QEA's environmental remediation projects involving sediment remediation and wetland restoration. Collaborating across disciplines with hands-on experience in design and implementation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects, including dredging, capping, stream restoration, and wetland construction
• Prepare engineering design documents, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations
• Contribute to technical reports such as sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and design documentation
• Provide field support for soil, sediment, and water sampling, site inspections, and construction oversight
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, planners, and biologists
• Participate in construction support activities, including reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs
• Ensure deliverables meet Anchor QEA’s quality standards
• Travel occasionally for fieldwork, site visits, and project meetings (primarily in Eastern NY and Western MA)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal, or Geotechnical Engineering
• 0 – 5 years of experience in environmental remediation, including investigation, design, and construction
• Experience with sediment remediation projects (such as dredging and capping) and stream or wetland restoration projects
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Willingness to travel for field assignments and meetings
