About the role
- Engineer joining Anchor QEA's environmental remediation projects involving sediment remediation and wetland restoration. Collaborating across disciplines with hands-on experience in design and implementation responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Support planning, design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects, including dredging, capping, stream restoration, and wetland construction
- Prepare engineering design documents, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations
- Contribute to technical reports such as sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and design documentation
- Provide field support for soil, sediment, and water sampling, site inspections, and construction oversight
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, planners, and biologists
- Participate in construction support activities, including reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs
- Ensure deliverables meet Anchor QEA’s quality standards
- Travel occasionally for fieldwork, site visits, and project meetings (primarily in Eastern NY and Western MA)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Coastal, or Geotechnical Engineering
- 0 – 5 years of experience in environmental remediation, including investigation, design, and construction
- Experience with sediment remediation projects (such as dredging and capping) and stream or wetland restoration projects
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Willingness to travel for field assignments and meetings
