About the role

  • Senior Bid Writer creating high-quality bid content for Amey's Complex Facilities Management division. Collaborating with teams to achieve winning proposals while promoting best practices in content development.

Responsibilities

  • Draft content from scratch and edit material produced by others
  • Analyze client requirements for compliance and evaluation criteria
  • Participate in answer planning workshops for structured responses
  • Provide editorial support to bid teams and interview subject matter experts
  • Take responsibility for higher-weighted responses and provide feedback
  • Help source relevant content from knowledge and previous bids
  • Challenge solutions and manage quality deliverables according to bid programmes
  • Identify case studies and high-scoring responses for knowledge library
  • Support the post-tender lessons learned process for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Degree level education
  • Experience in bidding or similar role involving content writing (e.g., journalism and creative writing)
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and bidding best practice
  • Experience of producing and editing high-quality written material
  • Strong team player, with an eagerness to contribute to bids
  • Experience of developing knowledge information libraries and content management systems
  • Excellent written skills to produce clear and concise material quickly
  • Ability to translate complex information into easily understood content
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong time and project management skills, with flexibility in meeting changing priorities
